  1. As far as the UES bar scene goes, this place was a great time on a Saturday night.

The layout is warm and spacious without being overly crowded, and the bartenders pour very generously. If you're a redbull-vodka fan, they give you the entire can of redbull! Most places don't do that.

The back has long wooden tables for larger groups, where you can have a conversation comfortably without shouting.

    Recommend!

  2. This review is for an 11:35am "brunch" with a girlfriend before we went to a broadway show. I give this BAR 5 stars, but this is solely a brunch review.

Service: very attentive & bubbly- 5 stars there.

Ambiance: perfect Sunday to have the windows open, sitting in the sunlight and watching the people walk by on the street – this place is great for that- 5 stars.

Food 🙁 we started with the Nachos… Which were AMAZING! Huge portion, great flavor — great. Next I got the open faced sandwich and my friend got the bacon egg and cheese sandwich. Although these dishes LOOKED very delightful, they were unfortunately void of much flavor and taste…. At all. Even the eggs were tasteless. The home fries were barely salted and my bread tasted like French toast, which I think was supposed to taste like herbs.

This place is a great fun bar, with good bar food: wings, burgers, nachos, etc. but unfortunately, I would not place this in the "good brunch" category of the UES.  🙁 maybe if they added some love to the recipes 🙂

  3. Great place to come after a long day of work. We ordered the specialty drinks and I got the cucumber vodka which was $13 and pretty strong. The thai calamari was soo good. Amazing sauce and super crunchy. The guacamole and chips were good too but nothing special. I ordered the Thurs special of short ribs, brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes for $18 and I have to say I was quite disappointed. For the price I paid I expected much more. The meat was too well done so it was difficult to chew. The mashed potatoes were warm/on the cool side which made me really sad because I was really looking forward to it! The brussel sprouts were good though. The presentation was pretty poor though. Kind of looked like everything was just plopped down on my plate. The nacho cheese with chips are pretty ordinary too. Looked like a volcano.

I would have to say it's a great place cuz of the atmosphere. It looks pretty rustic and in the back it's more secluded with was nice. Great service and let me repeat myself about the Thai calamari. Next time I go, I'm just gonna order that as my meal. Maybe the wings too.

  4. Solid UES bar for some great eats & drinks.
-A great place to catch some games.
-Exposed brick walls to give you that hip industrial vibe.
-A strong lineup of craft beers.
-Amazingly sweet staff: I came here with a group of 14 rowdy boys post-volleyball and the hostess and servers were all just so sweet and accommodating.
-The food is MONEY. From the coffee burger to the guac to the sweet potato fries, this place has it ALL!

Definitely would trek up here just for this place.

  5. Really loved the atmosphere of the place. Very urban feel to it- such a fun spot to hangout and catch up over drinks. (Speaking of which, get the Cool as Cucumber cocktail.) Stopped in for lunch over the weekend. Everything was going so well: Servers were friendly and attentive, drinks were great, the game was on… Good vibes overall.

I would love to give this place a 4 or 5 but I gotta say I was let down by the food menu. I jump at the sight of fish tacos so when I ordered it as my meal, I had high expectations. Sorry to say, but the Baja tacos did not impress. The meal came with two along with a mild corn and bean salsa on the side. The presentation was great and so was the guac, but I didn't taste much flavor in the beer battered fish. I had to stuff a bit of the side salsa to give them a little somethin extra.

Since I have friends in the area, I can see myself circling back and giving this place another shot. I'd prefer getting my taco fix elsewhere for the fraction of the price, but perhaps I'll opt for one of their specialty burgers next time.

  6. Trekked all the way to the UES last weekend to celebrate someone's birthday. Customs was a hassle, but we made it.

I swear to god, this must be the "awful service" time of year again. Supply House is fine and has a decent beer selection. The turkey burger we got was quite good. But, Jesus H. Christ, what rude service.

Our group was taking up the long table in the back of the bar. Half the table was ordering with the waitress (who was wonderful and exceptionally nice), and the other half was ordering at the bar. When I first arrived, we tried to head up to the bar and order drinks. For me, the beer snob, I just wanted to see the tap list (written in chalk on both sides of the bar).

Enter aggressive, hipster, man-bun waiter clearly focused more on being a huge prick than actually being courteous. He blocked our path to the bar, YELLED (caps necessary) at us that we have to order at the table, and proceded to be incredibly rude to us for the rest of the night.

I have no idea if Supply House reads these reviews–I hope they do. We were being perfectly pleasant and courteous, but this kind of attitude/service/treatment is completely unacceptable. I've worked in the service industry and for the life of me, I cannot understand why you need to be an asshole to people who aren't doing it to you. That guy needs to go.

  7. Came here on a busy weeknight (Thursday before memorial day weekend), just to grab some food and a couple drinks.

The beer selection was good, but not fantastic. Had a bunch of the usual suspects, and a nice selection of crafts. The draft list had something for everyone, and wasn't overrun with IPAs which is always a nice change.

As for the food, I started off with the grilled Caesar and then got the coffee burger. The burger was great – loved the special sauce they used. Not super spicy, but had a nice kick. The salad was decent, however I'd probably get a different app next time I go. My girlfriend had a sandwich (can't remember which one), and she thought it was fine, but she'd also most likely get something different next time.

Overall, had a good experience, and will be back.

  8. Below average brunch.

Came here for brunch and was not overly impressed with the food. However, the service was great and the bloody mary was solid.

Some of the food arrived cold and I did not enjoy the avocado toast. The bread is soaked in honey and it just tasted too sweet–it was not properly balance in my opinion. The open face sandwich was decent but the accompanying sauce had no flavor whatsoever.

Overall, although I may not return for brunch, I may come back to watch the game and eat some burgers and wings. For brunch, this should be a 2-star review. And the quality was not reflected in the prices. Plenty of better options in the area.
