  1. The food never disappoints at this local tiny spot serving up comfort vegan grub. The Beyond breakfast sandwich & the BLT bliss burger are my two favorites.

  2. We chose this spot on our way out of NYC because it was super close to Penn station. It was really easy to get to from there (just a couple blocks down) and we were able to order pretty quickly despite it being around lunch time.

As others have mentioned, it's tiny but that would only be a detractor if you expected to come here with a group of people. Probably best to take your order to go. While we did just that, we would have liked to eat our food earlier as it got pretty soggy by the time we arrived at the airport. This was no fault of of Vlife and I would say they did a good job wrapping/packaging everything up as best they could.

We split a kale salad and I got the spicy soy wrap with the cajun fries. The kale salad was good but definitely needs both containers of dressing to really saturate it and take away some of the dry texture kale tends to have if it not done right. My spicy soy wrap was much bigger than I anticipated (yay!) but lost some of its crispiness due to the delay in eating it. It was hard to say how crispy the chicken-like bits would have been but they were a little soggier than I would have liked. The fries were still quite good, particularly with the seasoning and sriracha mayo I chose to go with them.

Would definitely his this spot up again for lunch next time I'm in NYC.

  3. I can here twice on my trip to NYC. Great location close to Penn Station. It's a really small grab and go cafe. While I'm grateful to the shop for being fully vegan, I was a bit disappointed with the food. It was good, but it just felt like it was missing something. The flavors just weren't quite there for me. I would go back if I couldn't find anything else to eat. I did like it, it just wouldn't be my first choice.

  4. The service is so slow. The food options were ok, but nothing spectacular. Many the options are things I could make at home. I've been to this location when it was a different restaurant. The environment is the same: small tables, not good for groups, better for takeout. One pro is they still order vegan treat cakes!

  5. Good food, but not the place to eat-in. The space was very tight (basically a hallway – which actually makes sense.. Because I saw stairs alongside the kitchen) and folks were on top of each other. It was also very cold inside.

Foodwise they are on point. Note the $10 minimum charge for credit card. I had the eggplant wrap (chipotle sauce incl.) with cajun fries on the side (avocado sauce incl.). Overall very tasty, but a bit messy when wearing a suit and winter gear. Not tragic for ~$11.00. I would come back for take-out.

  6. This is my second review – I love this little Vegan spot!  The peanut butter blast smoothie is amazing and the avocado berry smoothie is good as it is, not too sweet, but if you want it sweeter just ask.  The V-cheese quesadilla is great.  Everything is really fresh and delicious.  Oh, and their fries are pretty awesome, too!

  7. This cute, little vegan sandwich spot can compete with Terri and Blossom Du Jour! It may lack in atmosphere, but it's a great place to pick up a quick bite to go. And the staff are very friendly. The bodacious burger is a pretty basic soy burger, but it's tasty and you can choose to add a sauce, like spicy buffalo or spicy chipotle, to add more of a kick. Will definitely be back to work my way down the list of sandwiches too.

  8. Man is this spot tiny, but expaaaaansive choices to pick from! I wasn't expecting such a huge menu for a vegan spot and will definitely be back to try out more options!

Atmosphere: cute set up. Green walls- has that basic fresh food vibe youd find anywhere in NYC. But tiny spot, don't plan on eating here on a weekday. I got lucky Bc I came in just when they opened on a Sunday so found seating easily.

Food: amazing. I got the groovy guacamole, the soy party was a bit dry for me but I think I'll swap it for the chickpea patty next time. The sandwich was beyond filling (massive!). The guac was fresh and the sriacha mayo was such a good decision. How it works is that you pick a burger or entree and get to pick one sauce- which they also have a pretty decent list to pick from.

Prices: I see why some find it overpriced. The smoothies were ridiculously priced but I guess that just what you should expect in the city. I get half the price from Jamba and just as much smoothie so that's why it didn't sit well with me. I didn't get one. But the burger was $7.60 and I found it to be a decent price. I didn't get any sides but had the option of adding fries for $2. The burger alone is super filling though.

staff: the girl at the counter was very nice and patient. She also explained the menu very clearly.

Will I be back? Yesssssssssss. Best vegan discovery so far. And the food had flavor too!
