  1. I always good feelings about non-buffet style all-you-can-eat. If you come here, do get the most out of your bucks by going all-you-can-eat!!

We came here to take a church VIP guest out to dinner. He loves sushi. We made a reservation for 10 but we came in a group of 13. They didn't mind at all and graciously seated us. The chicken teriyaki, calamari, and gyoza were superb! We ordered so much sushi we thought we couldn't finish! But at the end, we finished them all because how good it is.

This place looks small from the outside, but really spacious and cozy inside. Parking lot situation was ok since it was Sunday night and the neighboring stores were closed.

  2. My love affair with Yuki Hana continues to burn like hot, smoking lava. How lucky are we to have such a great local Japanese place?

They offer an all-you-can-eat sushi menu in addition to a very extensive regular menu. This is NOT a sushi buffet, and cheers to that because this Yelper skeeves buffets. Prices for both menus are reasonable and in line for the area.

They're open for lunch every day except for Sunday.

Hot and cold appetizers, teriyaki items, noodles, and a ton of rolls and pieces to choose from. Non-sushi eaters also fare well here. They offer a complimentary dessert at dinner, but only when ordering off the regular menu.

Beautiful atmosphere and smooth R&B hits on the radio. Efficient staff and immaculate bathrooms. And let's not forget the food…the GREAT food. Yes, I continue to be a fan after all these years.

You never disappoint me, Yuki Hana. How I love you so…

  3. Not impressed.

Expected great things based on recent reviews, but found myself wishing I had stuck with my usual AYCE suspects.

Yuki Hana is a Korean-Japanese establishment. The sushi, NOT the sashimi, is on par with other AYCEs in the area. I say "not the sashimi" because they don't have any.

That's right, for the price of their AYCE (which is on par with other AYCEs in New Jersey), their menu does not include a single piece of sashimi – everything is loaded with rice with the intent of stuffing you with as much carbs as possible. The rice was good – there was actually an attempt to flavor it rather than just offering steamed rice, which would have been a capital offense – but still. No sashimi??

    The rolls were forgettable.

We asked for hot tea and was charged $2 each for tea. Again, not something I have ever encountered in a AYCE.

Lastly, there were no desserts on the AYCE – not even fruit or a scoop of ice cream. Those items were "a la carte".

When I think AYCE/buffet, I don't think of getting nickel and dimed for a standard drink/ice cream and absolutely no sashimi available.

The service was cold, no "thank you", "welcome", "come again", etc. from the wait staff.

The only highlights were the teriyaki items. Otherwise, everything else, including the vegetable tempura and miso soup, were disappointing.

No thanks. I'll take my $30 and go elsewhere.

  4. After coming here 4 times, i have completely downed my review soley on the most recent experience ive had based on the service. Maybe im making a big deal, but it just rubbed me the wrong way. let me explain..

i came here at about 5 pm with a friend on a sunday for the AYCE. we were about to order our 4th roll, prior to this we ordered a bunch of apps and were about to order our 4th roll, mind you ive never done anything differently with how i order or the amount. i always order one roll and a bunch of sashimi and two salads and an app at first. once  i finish that, i then focus on just ordering one or two rolls at a time. so were about to order our 4th roll, i order a roll and so does my friend and the waitress says that this is last call for me, that i am ordering too much. and i was shocked, i said excuse me? are you closing? what do you mean, this is the all you can eat? she said no, but you are ordering too much, this is your last order. and i said this is my 4th time here, i have never encountered this and ive ordered much more in the past. i say okay and she takes my slip over to the counter. at this point, my friend had already ordered hot green tea and was on his 2nd or 3rd cup, she comes back to the table and i ask her, excuse me can i have some hot green tea? she then rudely says, "you want green tea? " and i said "yes i do" and she says "and him too?" i said well, hes been ordering green tea, but iw ant some now,. also iw ould like to speak to your manager, she rolls her eyes and says okay. pours green tea then goes  to the food area and has the manager come over.
she was very polite and was confused. i said excuse, this is my 4th time here and i like it and always get the AYCE, but your waitress over there, rudely told me that this was my last call..that i can not order any more, thati am ordering too much. and that was it. i never had this issue here, i have ordered even more food in this past, what is the issue? she said no no yo ucan contintue to order, and came up with some excuse of what the waitress meant, but i couldnt understand and was confused. and i asked her, "okay so we can continue? because the point of AYCE is or order and eat the amount you cant. clearly, we are not leaving food behind and have been eating every piece" she said yes that were fine.

well for the rest of the night, the manager was our server, our service time dropped and became so much more slower, the manager was nice and did what she can but i think this waitrress had  stick up her ass and got mad that i even asked to see the manager, i was not rude and was eating every piece we were ordering and have been here plenty of times. and the fact that she then decided not to serve us shows her professionalism and maturity level, good luck to lasting in the food industry with that attitude, and you bet your fanny that her tip was greatly effected. i even saw her look at our plat at the bar by the sushi chef, make a face and walk away. i watched the plate with our food stay up there until the manager was capable of picking it up and bringing to us.

also, the waitresses name was Hana, according to our check. so beware.

  5. The Story: I came here multiple times with multiple groups of people. I really love this place. I know I cannot compare a sushi from this place against something like Sushi Yasuda but my opinion doesn't change. Maybe because of the selection of soups, apps, regular rolls and specialty rolls. Maybe because its very quiet in this establishment. Who knows?

Food: This is an ACE sushi place. You cannot compare it to a higher end. I think the sushi is passable and definitely fulfill my much needed craving from time to time.

Price: Depending on the day of the week you go. $23-25 for ACE. They also have Korean dishes for lunch specials.

Decor:  Nicely decorated. Small place. I like it.

Service: Quick and prompt. No Complaints there.

Parking & Finding the Place: Make a right turn (or left) off of Route 46 by the Starbucks and Wayback burger. Should have ample parking.

Additional Thoughts: They close for 1 hr in the middle of the day!

  6. I'm bumping this up to 4 stars, but not for the sushi. The sushi is not so great, but there are 2 hot items that we can't stop going back for: yaki udon and beef teriyaki. I may add the clear soup to that list too.

I could literally live on the udon noodles (okay I'd need some serious vitamins) – they're perfectly seasoned and cooked. Just about perfect. The beef teriyaki is cooked to perfection and is somehow not too salty or sweet. The beef is tender and succulent. The clear soup is full of spinach and enoki mushrooms, and is smoky and luscious. Damn, now I'm craving it all over again.

If you're a sushi fiend, I'm guessing you'd be disappointed here. This is not where I'd go for a sushi dinner unless you're going for quantity over quality, as the quality of the fish is supermarket, and the rice tends to fall apart.

Skip the chicken tempura… it's way too breaded and dry. Miso soup is quite good. Gyoza is decent.

They don't use Kikoman soy sauce, which I find a bit odd. The brand they use is saltier – too an almost extreme level. You've been warned.

Service is efficient but unfriendly. Good luck getting a smile from the servers. But the restaurant is comfortable and nicely appointed.

    Go for the udon!

  7. Go for the AYCE! $25 but everything is delicious. If youre not a sushi lover, the calamari, gyoza and chicken dishes are perfect. Enough to share for everybody and you can just keep ordering more and more! Friendly staff and the service is very quick. We weren't waiting long before we pigged out. The place is a little small so it can get crowded at times and so can the parking lot. Other that I'll be coming back soon and should try their other 2 locations.

  8. Was in the mood for some all you can eat sushi so I decided to meet a friend here. I wasn't even sure this place was open because of the dim lighting and tints on the window. I passed thru this area recently and had no idea it was even here.
Chrunchy spicy tuna was good and had some other basic rolls. But when I ordered one lousy piece of sushi and my friend wanted another roll the waitress informed us we were "cut off". Really? I thought this was supposed to be all you can eat for the price you pay. We only ordered around 3 or 4 rolls each so it was a pretty basic amount. I literally wanted one measly piece of sushi and this waitress was making a big deal. What we did to offend her I have no clue. This waitresses attitude really came out of nowhere. My friend wasn't having it and decided to speak to the manager. She tried to nullify the situation and did inform us we could order more. But this resulted in no more wait service from our waitress. She completely and blatantly ignored us for the rest of the night. Serving tables in our section right in front of us.The only one who was taking care of us was the manager. The wait for one measly piece and one measly roll was ridiculous.Granted the manager was the only one refilling our tea and sushi but she could have at least reprimanded her employee who was refusing to do her job. We were waiting so long that we became hungry again and decided to order another roll each. Joke was on them. If they wanted us gone so bad, making us wait a ridiculous amount of time and giving us time to digest was no way of doing so.
I'm not going Homer Simpson vs the sea captain over this and make a court case out of it but All you can eat means ALL YOU CAN EAT. Not eat three or four rolls with tea and a side salad and have the waitress freak out and inform you that you are "cut off" like a drunk skunk. Mind you this place was byob and we didn't even take advantage of that. We were drinking just green tea. I don't understand what the waitresses vendetta was against us. We were civil even when she was so rude to us. This situation was made twice as awkward by ignoring us and not even hiding it. Thanks to them making me feel awkward, unwelcomed, and unappreciated. I don't think I'll be coming back here. The waitresses actions were beyond unprofessional. If it wasn't for this I would have been a repeat customer as the sushi was good and this place is not far from me. But I don't want to step into a place that made me and my friend feel so uncomfortable. I suggest instead of "all you can eat" it should be advertised as have three or four rolls, then have our waitress flip the shit and cut you off for no reason. Yup that is more accurate.
