  1. Pleasantly surprised by Zio Toto!  I wasn't expecting too much given its location in a strip mall, but the restaurant was beautiful, food was great and the service was excellent.

We came for lunch in a large group and everyone loved it.  The lunch prices are extremely reasonable – $10 for any pasta entree, $8 for any app or salad, etc.  They also offer gluten-free pasta upon request.  The portions were generous (but not out of control) and the food was delish.

I had penne all vodka – my go-to pasta dish when in the NYC area.  It was great – made with pancetta and not too much cream.  Pretty light actually.  We also had a portobello mushroom appetizer that had crab meat, asparagus and tomatoes with a gorgonzola pesto sauce –  seemed like a weird combo but was very good.  My niece wanted a bowl of the sauce.  The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were nice and large, and the salads were also nice.

Service was attentive but not overbearing and the space is really nice – elegant but comfortable.

Overall I would highly recommend Zio Toto and will definitely return.

  2. This restaurant is amazing. I have never been here and have been disappointed. I've had pasta Bolognese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, individual pizza, and the Nutella pie is awesome ! U could just go there for that and eat that to satisfy a sweet tooth. I defiantly recommend this place. It's also beautiful inside — the bar are is exquisite and you can see the brick oven used for the brick oven pizza. Yum…. A + !

  3. I went on a Tuesday night with my friend & we both thought it was pretty good. Coworkers have tried it and told me I should to & I was glad I finally did. We got a bread basket to start and olives. For an appetizer, we got the eggplant rollatine stuffied with shrimp and crabmeat in a vodka sauce–delicious! I ordered the Risotto special with gorgonzola cheese and baby spinach and I finished the whole plate. We got nutella pizza, which was good, but I definitely have had better Nutella pizza. The sangria was good, a little too strong for my taste, so I couldn't enjoy it. Overall, the service was great & they were very attentive. Our waiter even shook our hand before leaving. Maybe we went on an off night that wasn't as crowded, but my experience was a lot better than some of these reviews that I read.
