Gotham Pizza

“After sampling both the regular slices and the grandma slices at Gotham, I am happy to report that Chelsea has another solid pizza option.”

“They must press cornmeal or something into the dough – the crust had this great crumby texture.”

“Actually reminds me of the original Pizzeria Regina near the old Boston Garden, which is one of my favorite pizzas joints of all time.”

  1. First time we ordered pizza from Gotham and it was great!

We ordered couple of slices each and they were all awesome! Just as crispy as you want warm and not cold. Toppings were generous and it arrived fast!

Just what you need ok a rainy nyc day!

    Highly recommended

  2. Tastes like the version of Domino's pizza they show on tv, crispy, salty and generic. The issue is the price, for better than Dominoes, you expect better. Maybe it's Chelsea prices for stuff. Ordered delivery. The crust was crisp. Lots of good air and olive oil crispness. Even had cornmeal on the crust. But, it was too salty, the sauce was forgettable and overall the pizza generic tasting. I mean it was very well cooked just tasted generic; which would have been tolerable for $17 or $21 but $26 for dominoes?! I should have reconsidered my order. But, it wasn't horrible.

  3. Gotham pizza is on my radar because I work nearby.  The pizza is not great, but some days it's better than others.  My coworkers and I will even go as far to ask someone how the "slabs" are before heading over there if they happen to grab a $5.00 special (2 slices and a small soda) before us.  If they are "floppy" we will usually go someplace else. However, on occasion they are "crisp" and can actually be quite good.  They use cornmeal on the crust, so there is a crunch to the extremely thin dough.  Sauce and cheese are eh, but when the stars align; these slices are edible.

  4. Best pizza in Chelsea area!!! I have tried many of the pizza spots, but this place is by far the best. Ordered in on a rainy Saturday night and decided to order different slices. We got a cheese, mushroom, margharita, and grandmas slice. Each were superb. The dough is so crisp and delicious. The delivery was quick and pizzas were hot. Usually I have to stick them back in the oven, but not here.

When you want pizza go Gotham! Love it.

  5. This neighborhood Pizza spot will never replace my favorite "Hot Spot" Pizza that is now closed but it comes in close as an option if I am not able to head over to Artichoke Pizza ( love them , but they are a little pricey). I typically go here for a slice of the grandma's pizza and a white slice.

The staff is always friendly –and whenever I am there usually after work there are seats.
I know during the day it is usually crazy busy so I am glad I get to avoid that.

  6. very good pizza, although a touch too thin. lunch special is a solid deal. $5 for two slices and a fountain soda. Grandma slice has a nice and flavorful sauce.

  7. Nothing wrong with this pizza place! Good place to get a bite if you are in a hurray.

  8. Wonderful pizza; they use high quality ingredients and the food is always fresh. Sadly, I am now on a gluten-free diet and no longer frequent this place, but have eaten here probably a dozen times since moving to NYC in 2014. Give the plain slice, grandma, or pepperoni (my favorite) a try.
