  1. Love this place. Unlike most salad places in this city this one costs the same price (maybe a dollar more, $7) and you get unlimited toppings.
Plus their is always bread stacked ontop of the hot food bar you can eat from.

  2. Basic NYC Midtown lunch spot. Nothing to write home about, but the pizzas are pretty good.

  3. I ordered Gourmet Park on a Saturday afternoon for delivery. Delivery time was roughly one hour to 30 Rock (pretty good to be honest, since almost all places I order delivery from is about one hour).

Goat Cheese & Beet Salad ($10)- Talk about beets on beets on beets. If you like beets, then this is your salad. For me, the amount of beets was a little overwhelming since it seemed like the salad was 2/3 beets, and then 1/3 goat cheese, walnuts, salad, everything else. The beets were perfectly fine, maybe on the dry side, but again this is suppose to be a quick-meal place. Would I get it again? Maybe… I think I'm still seeing red.

Tomato Basil Soup ($4.25)- Would I pay $4.25 for a small cup of soup out of my own pocket from here? Probably not, but the soup wasn't salty which is something that I always appreciate. The soup tasted like tomato soup that you would get anywhere- nothing special, but still good.

Naked Juice ($4.50)- (Nice, they sell Naked Juices!)

Okay, so you might be wondering why 2-3 stars? Well, because I probably won't be back. Not one of those places in the city that are going to become my go-tos. Also, not one of those places I'm going to go out of my way to order to dine in for casual food.

  4. Bottom line: cheap, friendly, fast.  Come for breakfast or lunch!  Some seating in the back.

I work less than a block away and come here all the time.  It's quickly become my go-to lunch place, and I recently (and happily)  discovered breakfast here too.  There is a huge variety of food for lunch — salads, pizzas, and a buffet that includes several types of carbs (rice, noodles, etc), meats (fish, chicken, beef and pork) and vegetarian options.  They put out the buffet for lunch a little after 11am, and you can see them cooking/preparing a lot of the foods in the morning.

Something small that I like about Gourmet Park is that the hot food comes in those nice black plastic containers… There have been a few times where I've gotten food only because I needed new "tupperware."  Haha!

I find the hot food very inexpensive; I usually spend about $4 on breakfast and $7-9 on lunch.  Definitely beats $13 at Fresh&Co next door.  There is also seating in the back.

Lastly, I've never purchased anything other than food, but they actually do have a rather large selection of international and gourmet packaged foods here.  So if you're missing something from back home, or want to test something new, Gourmet Park is a great place to start.

  5. I've been going to this deli for lunch for the past couple of months and just love. During lunch hours, you'll immediately notice this place by the many free samples they give out in front of their store (I'm guessing since Metro is right only a couple stores over). Free samples can range from their fabulous pizza, to sandwiches, to sponsored drinks.

One of the things I look forward when going here is their salads with unlimited toppings for $6.95. There are several types of greens to choose from. After you choose your greens, you tell the salad chef what ingredients you want. Sides range from sun-dried tomatoes, avocado, vinegarette mushrooms, brusselsprouts, edamame, asparagus, cherry tomatoes, carrots, eggs, egg whites, feta cheese, several different nut varieties and cheeses totaling about 30-40 sides. They recently modified their unlimited topping salads to only include one meat (probably because people would choose 5-6 different meats, I was one of the guilty one's when the deli first opened). The meats range from grilled chicken, bbq chicken, turkey, ham, totaling about 10-15 different meats. To top, they have the basic dressings to choose from. All ingredients are always fresh. In addition, you can also grab complimentary bread by the hot food and packaged nuts/drinks. All ingredients are very fresh and I always finish my salad with a big smile and full stomach, not to forget a cheap lunch only costing me $6.95 + tax = $7.53.

Other items in this deli are pizza, paninis, and a large variety of hot foods. I've tried their thin crust pizza which is amazingly good, crisp and very tasty. You may get lucky one day when they are sampling it in front of their store. Don't hesitate to grab a piece or two and see for yourself.

For those looking for a place to sit, I also believe there are a handful of tables near the back but I usually grab my lunch on the go.

If you're in the mood for a salad and tired of paying $.50 – $2.00 per topping, definitely check out Gourmet Park, which are one of the few salad bars with unlimited toppings (some sides I would consider premium and don't find at many other salad bars for the same price).  You will be impressed!

  6. In some ways I feel bad for Gourmet Park. They've seemingly been doing there thing for a hot minute, then comes along Fresh & Co. two doors down to let the air out of their monopoly on the block. But competition is good. It keeps the blood pumping, so hopefully they can innovate a bit, because the could use a motivator.

It's not a bad place for breakfast and lunch… But they can be a bit inconsistent. Between the service and the disappearance of certain foodstuffs for no apparent reason, they'll certainly keep you guessing what sort of experience you'll have.

Surprisingly they have pretty good Neapolitan style pizza if you're in the mood. It's not going to give Luzzo's or Di Fara a run for their money, but it's a quality bite.

  7. Best make-your-own salad bar in the area.Fast and friendly customer service.
