  1. The food here is slightly better than regular Chinese take-out places, but considering the price, I still fill a little disappointed because neither the portion nor the flavor satisfies me like what I will expect eating in a Latin place for $20.

  2. I have been coming here since I could barely walk- at least 35 years. The food has always been good. It used to be Chinese-Cuban Americans, now I think they are mostly Chinese-Dominican American cooks.

Great American-Chinese food and Hispanic food. Where else can you get Spanish style steak, shrimp fried rice, egg drop soup and plantains in the same order?

Their breaded steak is the size of a sheet and is usually very good. Come here hungry!

  3. Whenever I get the urge to have some Cubano Chino I order take out from here. The food is delicious and cheap. Some people may find some dishes salty, but they are pretty good about toning it down when asked.

My favorite is the Mongolian Beef with white rice. Very tasty dish with lots of flavor. I like it spicy and the white rice helps to tone it down. Yummy. I tend to order the Spanish dishes here. I am sure it is all made with ingredients that are not healthy, but from time to time this place hits the spot.

This is a no frills restaurant. Cheap food. Tasty food. Efficient service. Fast delivery. Food travels well.

  4. The hot and sour soup is very tasty. And there are other soups on the menu that we've never seen. So we've got to try those. The meat dumplings were not our favorite. The egg roll may have been better if it was served hot. My Szechuan shrimp was supposed to be spicy.  Hubby's mussels and lobster (from the Spanish part of the menu) was tasty. The restaurant itself was a bit chaotic while we were there. I'd order take out next time.

  5. NOTE: This review is ONLY for takeout.

I've ordered twice from this place.  Twice to know that…

    1) Stick with the Spanish food
    2) Don't ever ever ever order from the Chinese side of the menu.  Just…trust me.

The first time I ordered here, I got the garlic shrimp, rice, beans and tostones to split with my husband.  My hubby is Latin…and we nearly got into a fist fight over the tostones.  They were THAT GOOD.

I had enough food to last two days.  I think one order was like $12.  Not expensive at all and split over two days in Manhattan, it's practically FREE.

I ordered Chinese there one night.  Okay, this is where I should have just said – buh bye.  First, they do not have Seamless or Delivery pages.  Strike one.  I call in.  Person (girl sounding about 13) picks up.  "Hello?"  Uh….I say "Is this Nueva Victoria?"

    "Yes."

    **Crickets**

I ask if I can place an order for delivery.  I get the right person and place my order.  Hubby heard so much about the crackin chicken that he cracked and got it.  I got just a chinese food combo – chicken w/ broccoli and fried rice with egg roll.  Again nothing you would think that would be enough to mess up.

Ugh.  A meal time I'll never get back.  My chicken was gamey, broccoli was seriously not the crunchy kind you get at other Chinese food places.  Hubby actually enjoyed his crackling chicken…but folks.  It's like Popeye chicken strips.  Do yourself a favor…take the 2/3 to 116th St, go to the Popeyes up there.  Much better, cheaper and you'll be more satisfied,

I'm pretty much done here unless they beg me to return with better chicken and broccoli.  BLECH.
