This is the place where good steak comes to die.
With that being said, walking into this establishment is a sensory experience. Your nose will be very happy. And very excited.
The place itself is not huge but can get a little stuffy if its crowded.
They have a full bar in case you need to booze up and offer a pretty extensive menu. The cuisine is Dominican for the most part with some pasta dishes (really?).
Since I have had my fill of pernil and pollo al horno these last few days, i opted for a churrasco, AKA a Skirt steak. I asked for my steak medium rare. They repeated MEDIUM RARE back to me. With that, a side of arroz moro.
My steak. or what was my steak was charred. Completely cooked through. Completely leather. It was disappointing. I made no attempt to correct this as I saw everyone at my table who asked for a NOT WELL DONE steak, got just want they didnt want. WELL DONE.
This is not the first time that this has happened here, therefore I will not be ordering steak here. But i must wonder, why ask your customers how they want their steak if you are just going to burn the fuck out of it anyway??? you are wasting what would have been a delicious piece of meat!
On one hand they have the worst Latin food I've ever had. Chorizo, mofongo, yucca fries, all disgusting and/or unbelievably bland.
On the other hand they also have some of the worst service ever.
So there you have it, two hands full of disappointment. The only redeeming factors is their very cool and unique interior design, late hours, and reasonable prices.
