  1. Recently attended a yelp event here. Highlights for me include the gluten free chicken strips (what!!!!) and bacon wrapped bacon. The goat cheese salad they prepared was amazingly balanced and satisfying. The staff was really accommodating, so much so that they threw the Iowa caucus on. Pretty sure that led to more drinking as everyone seemed shocked with results on both sides!

I would return! for bacon with a side of goat cheese and a piece of lettuce. 😉

  2. Nice bar restaurant in the UES. Called mile 17 as it's on the 17th mile of the nyc marathon and can be viewed right outside on 1st avenue. Makes for a great marathon party inside. Large space with ample room for groups. Good lighting and large tv's to watch the game.
Had great service from the bartender and waiters during our happy hour.

Ordered a wonderful burger with fries. Cooked up great, juicy and full of flavor and went well with my Guiness. Good for happy hours as they have them for hospital workers as well on wednesdays. Great updated bar/restaurant in this neighborhood.

  3. I was hoping for a good wing spot on the upper east side, and I think I've found it!  Tried their honey bbq wings – chicken was not dry and the outside was not soggy!  I can't wait to try their buffalo wings next time.  Burger is pretty decent and they have tater tots, if you don't feel like fries.  The Cobb salad was a surprise – definitely a much bigger portion than I thought, which I was happy about!  I love big salads.  All of the ingredients in the salad were fresh and the grilled chicken on top was delicious.  Only recommendation is maybe have a thinner balsamic dressing?  The one I got was so thick it was almost like mayonnaise consistency…

  4. It's a very low key Irish bar and restaurant. I came here with friends on a Sunday to try out their brunch menu. Service was excellent and we were able to get a table in the back which was very private. It was not crowded at all.

I ordered the chicken and waffles. I thought the use of chicken tenders instead of fried chicken was interesting. The waffle was also a little on the soft side. The dish itself was pretty small. Came with both gravy and syrup. Not bad but also not great.

My friends got the Eggs Benedict. They thought it was OK.

Glad I got to try the place. Reasonably priced, but didn't blow me away.

  5. Yeah I think the kinks have been worked out here. To me, if the numerous tv's weren't here, this place would be nice enough to be a chill restaurant. But luckily they are there so I was really digging the fine dining/Irish bar sort of mash-up, replete with a cool Irish owner with a real Irish accent.

I came here for a Yelp event and man were we blown away. I think mostly I enjoyed the food… "bacon wrapped bacon"? Really? You had me with "bacon".

I would ignore the earlier, critical reviews because this place is really just getting started. The staff were pretty much as nice and attentive as you'd ever want and if watching sports on the UES at a bar is your thing, welcome to your new home.

  6. Great sports bar / restaurants – very clean and newly renovated. Loved the ambience / decor, they have screens all over. Wings are good, about 10 wings come in one order. Would definitely recommend going here to watch a game / eat.

  7. Three words. Bacon wrapped bacon.  Yes, you read correctly. Bacon wrapped bacon.  Good on top of more good with a sauce. I recently attend a Yelp event where I had the opportunity to sample some fare.  If you are a bourbon person, you'll like the cocktails. I'm more of a cosmo gal, and their's was just fine and at good price.  Mile 17 is a charming and spacious addition to the nabe. The owner, Ollie, is simply adorable; a charming Irish fellow who bursts with pride.  The food is excellent.  You read above – bacon wrapped bacon.  Genius.  Other homemade bites include DELICIOUS mozzarella sticks, chicken satay, beef tenderloin, chicken fingers, goat cheese balls (SO YUMMY) and other treats. I recommend Mile 17 as a nice chill place to eat upscale bar food and enjoy strong drinks!

  8. Came here after moving in next door for a quick bite. I had the BLT (w/ eggs) and my gf had the huevos rancheros. Although the huevos weren't really what she had envisioned (we're from TX so we have a different preconception of the dish than others) but she was said they were fine. As was the BLT.

The brunch deal seemed solid, plus the convenience of the location practically mandates that I'll be sure to return in the future. Might not be my first choice for brunch, but also not the last.

    Go here.
